Most of the bands can do away without bass, they heavily rely on the keyboard samplings and stabilized electronic beat to settle their harmonic foundation. Bass effect can enhance sound in its more melodious way and it is still great to occasionally use it because it gives your music a “wow” factor which is admired by everybody if they are listening to it. Now a day’s more bass effects are getting produced, the popularity of once forgotten is now on its way to make its own place in today’s music. The “wah” is not of single kind it is having further categories which make different effects. The wah pedals are having rectangular shape.
Distortion and overdrives are sound waves causing fuzzy and warm sounds. In early days, overdrive sounds were being produced by using vacuum tubes where the sound wave passes through, re-shaping the upper part of wave which eventually results in smooth and clear sound. In distortion, the sound waves are pre-amplified before they are re-shaped. This sound effect can heard in Metallica’s song “seek and destroy”. Compressors are the units designed to make loud sounds quiet and quiet sound loud, it works best when switching from one style to another because it smoothly transitions the sound.
